Deniz Kumral uses a Canon dSLR set with Canon L type lenses for more versatile shooting. For projects requiring higher quality and larger photographs he uses Hasselblad H2D system with 39mp digital back or for special projects a Toyo-View or Sinar system.
There was the question of film vs digital back than. Right now I can say both, and it totally depends on the project. A product still-life shooting for a web site requires a dSLR system because of it’s speed. But if you are shooting food settings designed by an international chef for a high level restaurant and for large prints, you need a technic camera, high quality large format film and a very good scanner.
Currently Deniz Kumral has a professional studio: Kumral & Giobbi Studio in Ankara and works with E-Productions (Firat Erez Studio) in Istanbul.
